Media downloads

When you submit a public Instagram link, FromInsta.net processes the URL to find the media made available by Instagram. Regular photo and video downloads are returned as direct media links and are not permanently copied into the FromInsta.net application storage.

Temporary audio processing

The audio tool needs temporary storage to prepare original audio and MP3 files. It stores the normalized Instagram source URL, processing status and generated files for the duration of the request.

The database record and generated audio files are scheduled for automatic deletion 60 minutes after processing succeeds or fails.

Technical and security data

FromInsta.net uses a technical session and a pseudonymous request counter derived from an HMAC hash of the IP address to protect the service from automated abuse. Standard server and error logs may contain technical request details needed to diagnose failures.

• There are no FromInsta.net user accounts or public user profiles.
• The service does not currently use advertising or behavioral analytics trackers.
• Do not send passwords, Instagram login details or private account information to support.

Third-party services

FromInsta.net contacts Instagram to resolve the public link you provide. Cloudflare Turnstile may process your IP address, browser details and challenge token when a security check is required. Their own privacy terms apply to that processing.

Cookies and retention

A strictly functional session cookie may be used to operate the website. Temporary audio data follows the 60-minute retention period described above. Security counters and technical logs are retained only for operating, protecting and troubleshooting the service.

PWA installation data

The site uses session storage to avoid repeating the installation prompt in the same browser tab. If you choose Not now or dismiss the browser’s install dialog, it stores the dismissal time in your browser for seven days. When the PWA is installed or first opened in standalone mode, it sends a random installation UUID and a broad device category. FromInsta.net stores only an HMAC hash of that UUID, the category and the UTC installation time for cumulative, deduplicated statistics; it does not store the IP address or full User-Agent with this record.
